One-Way Video Interview Software for Staffing Agencies
Send each candidate one link to a recorded first-round screen. Candidates answer on their own time from any device, with no app or account. Every answer arrives with a transcript and a summary, your recruiters review in batches, and client hiring managers you add to the workspace watch the shortlisted answers themselves.

Sound familiar?
“Every phone screen costs a recruiter time twice: once to schedule it and once to hold it. Then the client asks to see the candidates before agreeing to interviews, and call notes don’t show them much.”
Step by step guide
One-Way Video Interview Software for Staffing Agencies, step by step
Create one screening form per client or role
Duplicate a first-round form for each client, change the questions that are specific to the role, and add your agency’s logo and colors. Forms are unlimited on every paid plan, so a new client never means a new subscription.
Open with a short intro video from the recruiter who owns the role, so candidates know who they are talking to before they record
Ask 4 to 6 questions: logistics and knockouts first (availability, location, right to work, pay range), then two or three questions about real experience in the role
Set a time limit per answer (1 to 3 minutes) and let candidates watch their answer and record again before they submit
Keep the same questions in the same order for every candidate on a role, and write down what a good answer sounds like before you review the first one.
One link for every candidate on the role
Paste the link into your ATS email, job board message or LinkedIn InMail. Candidates open it on a phone or laptop and record in the browser. They can also answer by voice or text if they prefer.
Put a deadline in the invitation (“please record by Thursday”) and send one reminder from your ATS or email tool the day before
Use URL parameters to pass the candidate or job ID into the response, so every recording lands next to the right record in your ATS
Each recorded answer is one clip. Professional includes 250 clips a month, about 50 candidates on a five-question video screen; extra clips are $24 per 100, and text answers don’t use clips
Tell candidates how long the screen takes and when they will hear back. A clear next step is the part of a one-way interview candidates notice most.
Tell us about your experience with system design.
Record a video, voice message, or type your answer
Review in batches and share the shortlist with the client
Every video answer is transcribed and summarized as it arrives. Turn on AI Analysis to score each answer against the criteria the client gave you and flag answers below your threshold. Recruiters start with the strongest answers, watch the ones that matter, and tag or favorite the candidates they put forward. Your team makes every decision.
Search transcripts for the skills or tools the client asked for, then watch those answers first
Add the client’s hiring manager to the workspace as a viewer so they watch the shortlisted answers themselves, without another call
Use Room to send finalists a quick video follow-up question before the client interview
Send new submissions to Slack or your ATS with Zapier, Make or a webhook, so nobody has to check the inbox to know a candidate has recorded.
